Strategic Growth Partners (SGP), a powerhouse service provider in government contracting, today announced a strategic leadership transition with the appointment of John Cook as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 14, 2025.
John Cook succeeds John Shoraka who has served as CEO since the merger and rebrand of Strategic Growth Partners. We are sincerely grateful for Shoraka’s contributions to SGP. During his tenure, he provided leadership and insight during a time of transformation and growth. We thank him for his service and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

John Cook brings 29 years of expertise in the technology and government contracting space to his new role as CEO, with a focus on growth strategies tailored to helping small businesses grow. Formerly the CGO of Strategic Growth Partners, CEO of Strategic Growth Advisors and multiple executive leadership roles at large system integrators and small tribal 8(a) firms, John has a proven track record of leading large organizations, startups, establishing successful joint ventures, and leading multiple merger and acquisition teams which have resulted in significant revenue growth. As he steps into this new chapter with SGP, John’s leadership will be instrumental in driving forward the company’s vision for sustainable, impact-driven growth.
