Elev8 GovCon Spotlight: FedStack: Unlocking Potential with a Commitment to Building a Sustainable Industry

On the heels of being announced as an Elev8 GovCon Honoree – again – FedStack shares insight into how they reach and exceed the bar when it comes to partnering, taking care of employees, and being engaged in their community.

A Trusted Subcontractor now Serving as Trusted Prime

For Fedstack, partnership is built on accountability, trust, and mutual success. Throughout our growth, we have had the privilege of supporting outstanding prime contractors as a trusted subcontractor, helping them deliver on complex federal missions with speed and precision. Those experiences have shaped our approach to collaboration and reinforced our belief that true partnership goes both ways.

Now that we have obtained the capability to serve as a prime contractor under the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) GWAC, we are excited to return the favor. We are inviting the partners we have built strong relationships with over the years to join us as we pursue prime opportunities together. This expansion not only broadens our capacity to deliver directly to agencies but also strengthens the ecosystem of trusted federal partners committed to shared mission success.

For us, being a good partner means taking ownership, sharing responsibility, and ensuring that everyone involved—clients, teammates, and subcontractors—benefits from transparent communication, seamless collaboration, and measurable outcomes. It is about standing alongside our partners through every challenge and achieving results that matter.

Developing Talent to Support Clients

At Fedstack, innovation starts with how we build and grow talent. Our mission is to help federal agencies access the cleared, capable professionals they need to meet today’s complex technology challenges. By developing talent in real-world, mission-aligned environments, we help our clients strengthen delivery, increase efficiency, and achieve sustainable workforce readiness.

Our approach blends AI-assisted training, adaptive learning, and project-based instruction within environments that mirror federal systems. Each learner follows a personalized path that combines technical depth with the situational awareness needed to thrive in agency settings. This model allows us to prepare multi-generational teams that are technically proficient and operationally ready from day one.

A recent example is our work supporting federal modernization programs through AI-enabled workforce development. Fedstack has been piloting AI-integrated learning paths that identify individual skill gaps and adjust content in real time. These pilots have improved both training completion rates and job performance metrics while reducing time-to-readiness for cleared personnel.

By growing talent in this way, we give federal clients access to a workforce that learns faster, performs better, and stays mission-focused through every stage of delivery.

People and Processes

Continuous improvement at Fedstack begins with people and processes. We operate in a mission environment where priorities, technologies, and skills evolve rapidly, so our teams are designed to adapt through constant learning, feedback, and refinement.

Each department defines measurable quarterly goals tied to client outcomes. Progress is reviewed weekly through collaborative check-ins that help identify challenges early and promote shared accountability. This structure keeps our organization focused on results rather than routine and ensures every action directly supports the mission.

We apply the same discipline to how we develop talent. Fedstack continuously updates its training programs to prepare cleared professionals who are fluent in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation tools that are essential to government modernization. By aligning training with agency priorities, we help federal clients close critical skill gaps and accelerate adoption of emerging technologies.

Our prime status under the GSA MAS GWAC enhances efficiency by allowing agencies to work directly with our teams while expanding our ability to recruit, develop, and deploy resources to fill government talent needs. In addition, we support the technical upskilling of existing government employees to strengthen workforce capability from within. Through these combined efforts, Fedstack maintains a culture of continuous improvement that delivers measurable value, speed, and resilience to every federal mission we support.

Building an Industry that is Capable, Sustainable and Inclusive

For Fedstack, engagement and philanthropy are about more than visibility. They are about building an industry that is more inclusive, capable, and sustainable. We believe that when the private sector shares knowledge and opportunity, the entire federal ecosystem benefits.

Our leadership team, including Executive Vice President Chris Coligado, actively contributes to national discussions on federal workforce readiness. Through associations such as ACT-IAC, AFCEA, and the Potomac Officers Club, Fedstack helps shape conversations around technology modernization and skills development. We also share insights through industry publications, including a feature in HR News that explored how AI-driven learning can help agencies close the federal skills gap.

This year, Fedstack made a $1 million investment to give back to the community by training 100 professionals in generative AI through a partnership with Databricks. This initiative reflects our belief that industry engagement should drive both innovation and access to opportunity. Our ongoing commitment to workforce development was further recognized when Fedstack received the Commonwealth of Virginia’s 7th Annual Outstanding Apprenticeship Award, honoring our impact in creating career pathways and expanding the nation’s technology talent pipeline.

Philanthropy is equally embedded in our identity. Fedstack continues to invest in programs that expand access to technology careers for veterans, career changers, and underrepresented professionals. Our Women Veterans and Military Spouses Cybersecurity Cohort, created in partnership with WiCyS and Women in Technology, provides hands-on training, certification support, and direct placement into client roles.

For our team, giving back is personal. Each success story represents a life changed and a stronger workforce for our nation. That connection between purpose and impact is what keeps our people motivated to contribute, both inside and outside of work.

Founding Purpose in Unlocking Potential

Being recognized again as an Elev8 GovCon Honoree is both an honor and a responsibility. For Fedstack, it reaffirms our founding purpose and the vision that continues to drive us forward. When our CEO founded Fedstack, the goal was to create access to opportunities for great talent in communities that are often underserved or overlooked. That belief in unlocking potential wherever it exists has shaped how we build teams, develop talent, and serve our federal partners.

Across the public sector, there is a growing recognition that success in AI depends as much on people as it does on technology. Agencies need professionals who understand data, models, and mission impact, and who can apply those skills responsibly within regulated environments. Fedstack helps bridge that gap by developing cleared professionals who are fluent in both AI technologies and federal operations.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our employees, partners, and clients who share that vision. From earning our first prime contract to developing structured programs that prepare AI talent for federal deployment, every milestone demonstrates our commitment to sustainable workforce development and responsible innovation.

For our team, this recognition reaffirms that what we build is bigger than ourselves. For our clients, it reinforces that Fedstack is not only meeting the needs of today’s missions but also preparing the talent that will shape tomorrow’s government.
