Every Veteran deserves clear, timely access to the benefits they’ve earned. To help make that possible, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is modernizing a suite of cloud-based applications powering its online services.
VA has awarded Coforma a $30 million prime contract under the SPRUCE IDIQ to support the Information Technology Modernization Tool Suite (VA IT MTS).
“This contract is a milestone for Coforma,” says Head of Solutions, Imogen Thomas. “As we continue to improve Veterans’ experience through digital services, we are expanding our reach to support the tools and systems that make this work possible. This foundational contribution to the VA mission will magnify the already significant impact of our passionate and talented team members.”
Over the next three years, Team Coforma will work in close partnership with VA OCTO, the Office of the Chief Architect, the VA Innovation Unit, and the Office of the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer to develop, maintain, refine, rationalize, and continually modernize VA’s Tool Suite. Our shared goal is to deliver modern, secure, user-centered platforms that reduce Veteran wait times, improve service quality and reliability, and expand access to benefits.
Building on our experience reimagining legacy tools on projects like the VA Benefits Tools Crew, we’ll leverage expertise in user-centered digital modernization, agile development, and secure DevSecOps to continue developing and improving open-source, accessible, and scalable platforms for VA.
Our collaborative efforts on this task order will help ensure VA is using the most appropriate, advanced, and secure tools available to provide best-in-class support to our nation’s Veterans.
