Chris Kraft named as Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) at U.S. Secret Service

This passionate National Security Technology leader, focused on leveraging technology to deliver mission value, who had been serving with the Department of Homeland Security as Acting Chief Technology Officer and Deputy CTO, AI/Emerging Technology, has taken on a new challenge as Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) with the U.S. Secret Service.

Prior to this, Kraft served as the Assistant Administrator for Financial Systems in FEMA’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). In this role, Kraft served as the principal advisor to the CFO regarding the consolidation and integration of integrated mission-essential financial, acquisition, and asset management systems. The financial systems modernization initiative is a key strategy to achieve compliant financial management (FM) services and optimize FM operations across the diverse DHS systems.
