Acquisition Purpose and Objectives.
The Research Services Core (RSC) LIMITED Specialized Scientific Services Contract (RSC) supports the intramural Division of Preclinical Innovation (DPI) research program through a combination of federal staff and contracted technical experts. The current RSC Specialized Services Contract provides approximately 33 contractors and ends on 31 ОСТ 2025. Due to restrictions in contracting during the current lapse of federal funding, the full scope of the RSC Specialized Services Contract cannot be recompeted. Instead, a limited statement of work (SOW) has been developed, estimating 11 contractor personnel, to support critical RSC needs for a period of 90 days. The Limited RSC Specialized Services Contract includes only excepted activities and deliverables necessary for the protection of life or government property.
The Task Areas for the Limited RSC Specialized Scientific Services Contract include:
Task Area 1 – Scientific and Technical Support Services
Task Area 2 – Facilities and Equipment Maintenance
Due to the criticality of the services, i.e., protecting >$100 million of government assets and mitigating human health risks associated with hazardous or controlled substances, and devasting impact of a lapse it has been determined that a sole-source award to the existing vendor through the same GSA contract is needed.
