Aptive wins contract to lead Marketing and Recruitment for Defense Manufacturing Workforce Program

Aptive received a contract for up to three years from the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) to deliver strategic marketing and recruiting services in support of the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program.

The ATDM program, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy and the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program, provides fast-track, intensive training to prepare workers for critical roles in the nation’s maritime industrial base. With a goal of training 1,000 students annually, ATDM is creating a pipeline of skilled workers critical for building and maintaining the nation’s submarines, aircraft carriers and naval vessels.

Through this partnership, Aptive will work closely with IALR’s Office of Marketing and Communications to help lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and recruitment strategy to attract students and industry partners nationwide. Aptive will oversee branding, advertising, digital strategy, public relations, content development and analytics to help grow the ATDM pipeline of skilled talent.

“This effort is about more than marketing, it’s about strengthening America’s defense readiness by connecting people to purpose-driven careers,” said Taylor Wood, Vice President of Human Experience at Aptive. “We’re proud to help IALR and its partners tell the ATDM story in a way that inspires both students and industry to engage in this vital mission.”

Aptive’s work will include managing creative campaigns, producing multimedia content, growing ATDM website traffic and supporting outreach events across the country. Together with IALR, Aptive will advance the Department of Defense’s goal of accelerating the development of a skilled, modern defense manufacturing workforce.
