After more than four years at NASA, 33 years in the Federal government, and forty years in the professional workforce, I decided early this year to retire from public service. My final day as CIO of NASA Headquarters and Goddard Space Flight Center was May 31. As I look back over my Federal career at the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Personnel Management, and NASA, I feel lucky, humbled, and fortunate to have served America, taxpayers, federal employees, and my co-workers. The extraordinary teams I have worked with at every stop have made this a wonderful journey with many memories. I look forward to focusing on my wonderful family, traveling, and giving back in some capacity during the next stage of my life.
