The U.S Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Albuquerque Complex intends to award a sole source Cost (No-Fee) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), 500 Fifth Street NW, Washington D.C., 20001-2736.
The Contractor will be performing duties to include: Informing NNSA and DOE of relevant scientific and technical data and related views of experts regarding NNSA & DOE research and programmatic activities; applying the judgments of the science and engineering fields to public policy; contribute to the vitality and productivity of the NNSA’s & DOE’s scientific enterprise, and its respective extended research and development communities. The NAS’ unique qualification is its ability to provide independent scientific, technical, advisory, and engineering advice of unparalleled objectivity with the highest quality that possesses an inherent degree of public acceptability. Under this contract, the NAS may, as requested, examine, experiment, and/or report upon any subject of science or engineering relative to the NNSA or DOE missions, programs, and relevant activities.
