I’m excited to welcome Megan S. to our team as Director of Health Policy and Growth! While the REI Systems FDA team is known for delivering IT systems, our real passion has always been very mission and business centric. Strengthening that domain expertise—regulatory, scientific, and operational—is essential. Megan is exactly the kind of talent that elevates our ability to do that. I’ve had the privilege of working with Megan for nearly a decade earlier in my career, and I’m genuinely thrilled to partner with her again as we continue to expand and deepen our FDA domain expertise and footprint.
Megan brings 18 years of regulatory leadership across FDA and USDA, with deep expertise in food safety, policy implementation, and oversight. Her mission knowledge spans the Human Foods Program, OII, CBER, CDER, CDRH, and OFBA, where she has collaborated with Center Directors, CFOs, and senior executives on enterprise priorities and congressional mandates. Her impact includes advancing FSMA implementation, shaping the Imported Food Safety Strategy, and leading critical evaluations across user fees and supply chain resilience. Megan played a key role in the USDA- and DHS-funded studies on COVID-19’s impact on the food supply chain. She’s even completed hands-on food safety inspector training and foreign mock inspections—experience that gives her a rare, on-the-ground regulatory perspective.
Megan holds a Master’s in Food Regulation from Johns Hopkins and has served in key roles at MITRE and Booz Allen. Her blend of regulatory depth, field insight, and executive-level partnership makes her an extraordinary addition to our team—and a powerful step forward as we continue evolving beyond IT into true FDA mission enablement. I’m truly looking forward to partnering with Megan again as we deepen our support to HHS mission.
