The award of an 8(a) sole-source Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) Akima Mission Optimization, LLC for cybersecurity, privacy, and assessment and authorization support services is in the best interest of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) because this contract will support the DOE Chief Information Officer (CIO) requirement to develop and maintain an agency-wide cyber and information security program, as well as support the achievement of DOE’s small business goals.
