In sharing the news Chad posted: I am excited to share some major updates! I’m thrilled to join the MIT Gen AI Global leadership team as Deputy/Co-Lead for the Agent Dev Department, where our mission (and my passion) is to democratize AI for all. The innovative work happening at MIT and in our group has fueled my enthusiasm to bring much of what I learn directly into the federal space.
Speaking of that, after two years delivering AI products from within the federal government, I’m moving on and joining Zscaler’s progressive CTO program, focusing on all things AI. My work here will center on the needs of highly regulated environments of all classification levels. After seeing Zscaler make over $1 billion in investments focused on AI, data, SaaS supply chain security, telemetry, AI defense and deception to protect our AI capabilities here and abroad, I was humbled to get the phone call asking if I would join. Hell yes!
Many of you know I’m deeply inspired by the new US AI Action Plan, which positions the US to lead the global AI race (and it is a race), setting standards and reaping economic and security benefits for our country. I’m honored to contribute to the delivery of products that support our country and international partners.
Lastly, I’m exploring ways to expand AI collaboration across federal, state, local, and other regulated environments—more details to come soon!
I’d like to extend my gratitude to the many who’ve shaped my perspective on AI. To the brilliant minds at MIT Abel Sanchez, George Westerman, John R. Williams, Mark Schwartz, whose research and knowledge sharing have been the cornerstone of my AI journey. To the Zscaler team, for their commitment to secure US AI innovation, which has already broadened my understanding of capabilities in governance and security. And to the policymakers and futurists behind the US AI Action Plan, for framing a bold national strategy that motivates me to contribute meaningfully within the federal space.
A special nod to my federal colleagues and mentors who’ve guided me through the federal landscape all these years—your insights (literally helping me navigate technology delivery across five continents) have been invaluable.
