The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Space Acquisitions and Integration (SAF/SQ) requires systems engineering and
technical assistance (SETA) Support Services in order to accomplish its responsibility for the acquisition of space systems and
programs for the Department of the Air Force (DAF). SAF/SQ serves as the Space Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) for the
DAF space systems and programs. In order to effectively and efficiently accomplish these responsibilities, SAF/SQ requires
contractual support consisting of Executive Support; Resource Management and Support Operations; Capability Delivery;
Science, Technology, and Engineering; Integration; Space Systems and Engineering; and Program Management.
The efforts stated above directly support SAF/SQ to serve in its role as Space Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and
discharges Service Procurement Executive (SPE) duties and authorities assigned by the Secretary of the Air Force for space
systems and programs supporting multiple Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP). The incumbent contractor
provides technical, acquisition, and integration support to space-related programs in systems in order to assist SAF/SQ in
performing its SAE/SPE duties.
The competitive follow-on has completed market search through a sources sought notice to SAM.gov and also utilizing
GSA’s Market Research as a Service and is currently finalizing its acquisition strategy with a targeted solicitation date in
September with a contract award in February of 2026.
