Sumaria Systems is proud to announce the promotion of Rob Clements to Vice President of Operations. In this role, Rob will lead the company’s enterprise operational strategy, aligning day-to-day functions with long-term goals centered on innovation, efficiency, and mission-focused delivery. He will oversee critical corporate functions including IT, facilities, safety, and security, and work closely with senior leadership to drive performance across programs.

Rob Clements joined Sumaria in September 2022 and most recently served as the leader of Space and Airborne Systems. In that capacity, he directed complex, mission-driven efforts in support of government clients, managing a diverse portfolio of capabilities including Program Management, Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Logistics, C5ISR, and Test & Evaluation.
He brings to the role a robust 23-year career in the Air Force, including a tour in Afghanistan as an Air Advisor, and leadership experience spanning both the Defense and Private sectors. His past roles include serving as a Program Manager and Project Lead in the Engineering and Analysis Squadron at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), and Test Lead for cutting-edge ISR, F-22, and F-15 programs within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC).
In the private sector, Rob applied his leadership and operational acumen in the medical device industry as a Lead of Program Management, where he drove lean manufacturing practices to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Rob holds a master’s degree in government, a bachelor’s in business administration, and an associates in aircraft systems. His combination of academic credentials and extensive real-world experience equips him to lead Sumaria’s operational teams with clarity, purpose, and precision.
His promotion comes at a time of continued growth for Sumaria, as the company expands its capabilities across the defense and federal contracting space. Rob’s depth of experience and strategic mindset will be instrumental in guiding Sumaria through its next phase of mission delivery and operational excellence.
