Kentro AI-driven models ranked among top 10 finalists in NIH/NIA PREPARE Challenge

Kentro is proud to celebrate our team’s success in the NIH/NIA (National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Aging) PREPARE Challenge, where judges ranked our AI-driven models among the top 10 finalists in both the Social Determinants of Health and Acoustic tracks.

Through machine learning and multimodal AI models, our team explored how voice patterns and social determinants of health can support early, non-invasive Alzheimer’s detection. Our approach combined cognitive level predictions with absolute and relative decline measures and integrated advanced acoustic analysis with natural language processing for enhanced accuracy.

“As we care for the generations before us and prepare for aging ourselves, we must press forward using every tool at our disposal to search for answers for debilitating medical conditions. I’m proud of the team for their application of cutting-edge technology to predict Alzheimer’s and related dementias.” – Susan Castillo, Clinical Project Manager

Congratulations to our data science team – Bereket Kindo, PhD, Anh (Andrew) Tran, M.S., and Arjee Restar, PhD, MPH – for their dedication.   Read the full whitepaper here: https://lnkd.in/etRz6CVG
